The ALFSG exists to support activists unfortunate enough to end up behind bars from animal rights campaigns. We also promote an understanding of the reasons why decent, caring people feel forced to break the law. We are separate to the ALF, and we operate legally and above ground.

The SG’s primary role in the movement is to provide financial and practical support to those who find themselves in prison as part of the struggle. This vital work has continued unceasingly over the years, along with other like minded organisations. All of the money is used to help prisoners. We must not forget them, so please continue to support the SG, so we can support the prisoners.

Membership is £2 per month (£24 per year) and members receive a quarterly magazine. Download May's magazine free, in pdf format, which you can view with a small free program: Adobe Reader
